Jade Strain
Jade is a writer, actor and filmmaker from Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Coming from a working-class background, Jade’s work draws from lived experience, shining light on untold Northern stories. Hooked marks her directorial debut, following its recent shortlisting by the BFI Short Film Fund.
Catherine Walker
Catherine is a UK-based Producer with over five years of experience across scripted, unscripted, and commercial production. She champions stories that challenge systemic failures through empathy. Her credits include Location, Location, Location and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
Heather Crompton
Heather is a freelance Camera Operator who is also working as a Director of Photography. She has worked on a range of feature films and TV shows. Recent credits include, A Gentleman In Moscow, Rings of Power Series 2 and upcoming AMC show Talamasca, based on the Anne Rice books.
Jacob
Macaulay Cooper will be joining Hooked in the lead role of Jacob.
Macaulay’s credits include ‘Emmerdale’, ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘The Bay’.
Andy
Kris is an Actor, writer, director and musician. He has performed in touring theatre shows and an award-nominated show at the Edinburgh festival.
Kris also writes and produces his own independent films.
Andy
Jamie is a Sheffield/Rotherham-based actor with a keen interest in comedy and drama.
He is passionate about character-driven stories and is currently developing his craft through the Meisner technique.
Craig
James has made a steady transition to screen with credits in BBC’s World On Fire, ITV mini series Anne and the Netflix series Toxic Town.
James will also be appearing in an upcoming A24 movie due for release in 2026.
Dr Anderson
Julia is a female actor and dancer living in Sheffield.
She is Meisner-trained with many years experience in stage, short film, commercials and TV.
Andrea
Megan is a Yorkshire born and bred actor who has played a variety of lead roles in both short and feature films.
She is passionate about bringing authenticity to every character.
